The soundproof pod market isn’t exploding overnight—but it is moving, and quite steadily.

A recent report from Research and Markets puts the global modular soundproof booth market at $17.8 billion in 2025, with projections reaching $18.64 billion in 2026. That’s roughly a 5.23% annual growth rate.Not dramatic. But consistent.And in most industries, when a niche keeps growing at a steady pace, it usually means one thing: it’s no longer a niche.

What’s actually driving this growth?

There isn’t just one reason. But a few patterns show up again and again.

Open-plan offices are still one of them.

They’ve been around for years, yet the core issue—noise—hasn’t really been solved. People still step outside for calls. Still look for corners to focus. Pods, in many cases, are simply the easiest way to create privacy without changing the entire layout.

Then there’s hybrid work.Employees don’t spend all their time at home anymore, but when they do come into the office, expectations are different. The space needs to support both collaboration and concentration. That’s where phone booths and meeting pods start to make sense.And beyond offices, there’s something else happening.

Public spaces are changing.Airports, libraries, hospitals, shopping centers—places that were never designed for privacy are now expected to offer it.A traveler taking a call. A student trying to study. A parent needing a quiet corner. These are small moments, but they add up. And more often now, they’re being solved with pods.

Each model comes from a different use case. In real projects, that difference matters more than it might seem at first glance.

Growth is happening—but direction matters too

Regionally, North America still holds the largest share of the market, at around 35%. Europe follows, while Asia-Pacific is currently growing the fastest.

More offices are being built. More coworking spaces are opening. And more public venues are starting to consider privacy as part of their design.

Other reports point in a similar direction. Some estimates suggest the acoustic booth segment could reach around $775 million by 2032, growing at over 7% annually. The definitions vary slightly between reports, but the overall trend is consistent.
