When the office evolves from a mere workstation into a community hub that sparks inspiration, fosters connection, and nurtures belonging, the role of furniture changes profoundly. The recently unveiled office design for the College Board at 225 Liberty Street has drawn widespread industry attention. Its core concept — “the hearth” — softens the reception area, uses open layouts and warm materials to create a sense of belonging and a home-away-from-home atmosphere. This perfectly captures the modern workplace’s pursuit of human warmth and flexible collaboration. As a professional brand in commercial furniture, we have embraced the hearth philosophy and integrated it into our product development. We offer a range of furniture solutions that combine flexibility, ergonomic support, and tactile warmth, helping companies build a warm yet efficient office ecosystem.

In the College Board’s office, the “hearth” is both a physical center and a symbolic heart — creating warmth, community, and a feeling of home for employees and visitors. This concept runs throughout: the reception connects to a café-style dining area; the bar, open lounge, and communal dining space flow into a multipurpose hall; the open office extends outward, complemented by executive offices, meeting rooms, small discussion rooms, phone booths, a podcast room, and a staff pantry — together forming a flexible ecosystem that supports both collaboration and focused work.
We believe office furniture should do more than just pile on functions; it should carry the emotion of the space. With that in mind, we address the hearth concept from three dimensions:

Our modular agile system includes castored mobile tables, stackable lightweight chairs, and optional power-enabled movable screens. Employees can quickly reconfigure an impromptu meeting zone or a quiet workstation anywhere in the open area, adapting to the team’s rhythm and meeting different needs at different times.
Traditional conference tables often feel formal and distant. The hearth concept calls for a relaxed yet focused atmosphere. Our enclosed casual meeting series uses circular, curved, or L-shaped modules, paired with skin-friendly fabrics and neutral warm tones, naturally forming a centripetal seating layout. Users experience a face-to-face, close-distance conversation — just like sitting around a hearth.
We embed ergonomics across our entire product line — from height-adjustable smart sit-stand desks to ergonomic chairs with lumbar support and adjustable armrests — ensuring long working hours remain comfortable. Our sit-stand desks feature dual-motor silent drives and anti-collision technology, with multi-position height memory, making sit-stand transitions as natural as breathing. These details echo the human-centered care of the hearth philosophy while safeguarding employee health and productivity.

In the College Board’s design, a striking metallic orange ceiling and bookshelves inject warmth and energy into the space. We take a similar approach to material and color in our furniture design: we combine natural wood veneers, eco-friendly MFC panels, and metal frames, using low-saturation neutral tones to avoid an overly cold or glossy look. Our surfaces are scratch- and wear-resistant, balancing beauty with durability so the furniture looks great even with daily heavy use.

Hybrid work is now the norm. The College Board’s design responds positively to this trend: the space must support efficient daily work while easily accommodating large events and gatherings. Our product design follows the same principle: desktops and panels come in various sizes to fit different types of office partitions, and the simple, clean aesthetic blends seamlessly with many interior styles. Built to commercial-grade durability standards, our furniture meets the long-term, high-frequency needs of businesses, helping them create a work environment that attracts and retains talent.

The future of the office is not about dividing people with walls, but about bringing people together through design. We believe that good office furniture is that invisible hearth — quietly providing support, softening boundaries, encouraging encounters, and making every seat feel welcoming.
The College Board’s new space is deeply inviting and fosters culture, connection, and community on every level. In the same spirit, through continuous exploration of human-centered design and flexible functionality, we aim to help more companies transform their workplaces from mere workspaces into community hubs that unite teams, spark creativity, and nurture a sense of belonging.

We are a professional brand focused on commercial office furniture, offering a full range of products including modern desks, ergonomic chairs, conference tables, and office partition systems. Guided by ergonomic design and flexible modular concepts, we are committed to creating warm, efficient, and sustainable office environments for today’s enterprises.
